Mission Statement
The JDS Foundation’s mission is to enhance the life of those undergoing cancer treatment and assist to create happy memories for patients and families. We will do this by funding, planning, and advocating for worthwhile experiences.
We also value increasing knowledge and research regarding Primary Mediastinal Germ Cell Cancer and other Germ Cell Cancers.
We aim to assist in clinical trial information, travel costs for treatment, and mentorship support for patients.
Jonathan Snitzer
Jon was a husband, a brother, a dog dad, a son, a cousin, a nephew, a grandson, a medical student, an engineer, a buffalo bills fan, an adventure seeker, and a man destined to do incredible things with his life. Jon even came up with the idea of this foundation before cancer took his life. He was constantly making the most of anything life handed him. Jon is our inspiration, our best friend, our role model. Jon is the reason we are all so determined to make a difference in the lives of others undergoing cancer diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and loss.
As many people have said to us, losing Jon was a worldwide loss. The world will truly not be the same without him and all he was bound to accomplish in his life.
